A family's yearly promise, now a trust
The Anandi Devi Charitable Trust carries forward the values of Late Anandi Devi: quiet, practical help for people who need it.
Why we set up the Trust
Since 2020, we have sent school supplies and food to around 50 children in Assam every year. It began as a family commitment, with no name and no structure, just a promise kept each year.
In July 2026 we made it a charitable trust, with its office in Silchar. A trust gives the work a legal home and proper accounts. It also means the work does not depend on any one person being there to organise it.
We are small, and we will stay honest about that. This site describes what we do today and says clearly what is still a plan.
