The Story Behind Our Emblem The Anandi Devi Charitable Trust emblem: a lotus enclosing the initials A and D, bordered by a braided golden circle, on deep maroon

Rooted in Compassion. Rising with Hope.

The emblem of the Anandi Devi Charitable Trust is more than a logo. It is a reflection of our values, our purpose, and the legacy we strive to uphold.

At its heart is the lotus, a timeless symbol of purity, resilience, and hope. Just as the lotus rises above muddy waters to bloom in beauty, we believe that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the opportunity to rise with dignity, confidence, and purpose.

In Her Name

The woman the Trust is named after

Anandi Devi was the mother and grandmother of our trustees. The work that became this Trust began as her family’s yearly promise to children in Assam, and it carries her name so that the promise outlives any one person.
